A safe home VR setup should be simple, spacious, supervised when appropriate, and easy to reset after each session.
Clear the Room First
Remove small tables, loose cables, toys, lamps, and fragile objects from the play area.
The player should be able to extend both arms and turn without reaching walls or furniture. If the room is small, seated or stationary VR experiences may be more appropriate than room-scale games.
Set a Conservative Boundary

Controllers should be inspected for battery level and tracking performance before the session begins. Protective grips can improve handling for players with smaller hands.
Keep Sessions Balanced
New VR users may benefit from shorter sessions while they become familiar with the experience.
Games with gentle movement or stationary interaction can be easier to begin with than titles involving artificial locomotion or rapid camera movement.
Store Everything Together
A dedicated headset stand, wall mount, charging station, or storage case keeps the system protected and prevents accessories from being misplaced.
Lenses should be cleaned only with appropriate materials, and the headset should never be left where direct sunlight can reach the lenses.
